Kindergarten through 5th Grade Classes - Explorers
10:00am - classes open and close 10 minutes before and after each service.
K-5th grade children start the morning downstairs, checking in near the Welcome Center, and going to our group room, the Summit, for a big welcome, exciting worship music, fun mixers, and our offering. We then break into small groups for continued discussion and activities in the classrooms.
Parents, please pick up your elementary children directly after each worship service ends. We encourage families along with their children to stay for community time from 10:15-10:45am to meet and get to know other Highline families.
We use Group Publishing's Faithweaver curriculum, where in three year's time, children experience a complete overview of the bible in meaningful and engaging ways. This curriculum is used from ages 2 through adult in all of our Sunday classes to help families connect around the scripture lesson each week.

About our Offering
The offering taken on Sunday mornings will be given to Grace Fellowship Africa, a South African children's ministry where Rod Johnson and Pastor Templeton care for AID's orphans, China Resource Center, a Bible distribution ministry to poor rural Christians in China, and Treasure House, a transitional housing ministry for single mothers in Denver. Encourage your child to give weekly. There will be opportunities throughout the year for the kids to know how their giving is helping others!
Volunteer Opportunities
It takes about 80 volunteers through the school year to fully staff our Children's Ministry! Thank you to the 66 volunteers who are currently serving!! Wow! We have volunteer needs remaining in our 10:45 Preschool, 2nd/3rd, and 4th/5th classes, as well as in our Welcome Center. The commitment is one week per month through the end of May 2010. Please call Julie Thelander to sign up or to receive more information 303-730-1874 ext 5411.
