Missions and Outreach

HCC Missions and Outreach exists to make passionate, devoted followers of Jesus Christ in our community, our city, and the world by actively involving our congregation in supporting ministry partnerships and indigenous missions whose focus is on spiritual transformation.

Position and Purpose Statement for Missions at HCC

To fulfill the Great Commission as God directs us, (Matt. 28:19), and in so doing encourage, equip, and support our church body to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To make disciples of Jesus in our community, our city, and the world. To reach out to different ethnic people groups, and nations, with loving evangelism and discipleship ministries. To use our people, time, and finances combined with our spiritual resources of prayer, the word, and the Holy Spirit to identify, partner, and participate in loving outreach opportunities that emphasize making followers of Christ. To seek to understand what God is doing in the World, and to join in His redemptive work for all mankind, (Rev. 5:9). To build, and maintain, mission partnerships/relationships throughout the world.

Ongoing objectives:

1. To pray regularly
2. To communicate often with the congregation about our goals, objectives, and results.
3. To create excitement and commitment about God's call to share His word and make disciples of all peoples.
4. To support church members in their individual callings and journeys into outreach and missions work.
5. To sponsor and organize activities that involves all ages to loving outreach in a way that builds our relationships and strengthens our faith.
6. To faithfully, and with good stewardship, use our time and our financial resources for outreach and missions.
7. To filter our outreach and mission decisions through our Purpose statement.
